Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s staff have obtained an order stopping their arrest and subsequent prosecution over allegations of financing the Gen Z protests that took place in the country in June this year.

Justice Lawrence Mugambi issued the order following an application filed by Gachagua’s political advisor Ngunjiri Wambugu, George Theuri (youth advisor) and Pius Mugene (private secretary).

The Judge in certifying the matter as urgent directed the application by the three served on the respondents by close of business Friday.
