Brian Okello, a student from Makerere University, has shared his inspiring journey from repeated academic failure to graduating with a First Class Degree. For several semesters, Brian struggled with difficult coursework, low grades, and the constant fear of being discontinued from his program. He explains that no matter how hard he studied, his results did not reflect his effort. He would spend long nights in the library, revise past papers, and attend group discussions, yet exam results always left him disappointed. Watching his classmates progress while he remained behind affected his confidence deeply.
At one point, he even considered dropping out. The pressure from family and friends added to his stress. He felt embarrassed and began isolating himself. Despite having big dreams for his future career, he feared that academic failure would permanently limit his opportunities.
